And as Bob Dylan sang, 'sometimes you can't tell who are the prisoners and who are the guards'.Bruce Hammondshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07031065790535111400noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8438349.post-1124175084707516452005-08-16T18:51:00.000+12:002005-08-16T18:51:00.000+12:00MediaNoorsat communications platform starts operat...Media
Noorsat communications platform starts operations Noorsat's platform can provide transponder capacity from 5 satellite locations including 2 Middle East hot spots at 26 degrees East co-located with ArabSat.
Great post. We have taken several steps backwards in teaching and learning the last decade or so while gaining little except lots of time and energy wasted.

We could have been world leaders.Bruce Hammondshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07031065790535111400noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8438349.post-1124165637556037992005-08-16T16:13:00.000+12:002005-08-16T16:13:00.000+12:00This is very encouraging and somewhat frustrating ...This is very encouraging and somewhat frustrating in that N.Z.teachers that have valued personalized learning approaches, and acknowledge and respect student perspectives, have often had a battle on their hands. Too many hurdles are placed before creative teachers and the importance of the student's interests and ideas, their natural abilty to make sense of their world and think for themselves, has been greatly underestimated in recent times. It seems that things were more on track in the 80's in N.Z. with such things as the Waikato Learning In Science Project and the 'interactive teaching' model. Let's hope there are some lessons to be learned here from the Finnish.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
